Buyers and Sellers meet, push stocks higher

Markets pushed higher but not without seeing red.  Stocks danced throughout the session suggesting a tug of war between bulls and bears.  As earnings season falls on us much will be made of missed earnings.  Treat earnings season more from a spectator sport than anything else.  Look for stocks with Sales and EPS numbers better than 25%, equally as important look for those stock breaking out from sound chart patterns.

S&P 400                   .38%
S&P 600                   .23%
NYSE comp               .30%
 
Today I was able to fill orders on QD and VOCS.  Neither of them acted well at the close.  Nothing too scary but a bit of concern falls when new buys do not act accordingly.  NITE ended flat on the day.
 
For the rest of this week I am looking to see if we can continue to see strength in the Small and Mid Cap spaces.
