Dow reaches all time high again, market trades higher on light volume.

Traders pushed stock higher ahead of the FOMC meeting Wednesday. The Dow closed at another all time high of 12,116.91 on light volume. Every other major index lagged behind the Dow on lighter trade. At the very least we’d like to see heavier trade when an index makes an all time high. On a brighter note, the IBD 100 index closed higher on heavier trade.
Here is how we ended:
Index Value Change
Dow 12,116.91 +114.54 (.95%)
NASDAQ 2,355.56 +13.26 (.57%)
S&P 500 1,377.02 +8.42 (.62%)
Russell 2k 763.52 +1.39 (.18%)
S&P 400 784.17 +3.85 (.49%)
S&P 600 388.50 +.91 (.23%)
Tomorrow will be a quiet day, the FOMC meeting Wed. should attract a lot of attention from CNBC and other market pundits. Pay no attention, if new buys aren’t working or just not working look to cut half your position.
Happy trading and I’ll see you at Investors Paradise.
