FOMC leaves rates alone as Markets rise on higher volume

FOMC decided to leave rates unchanged at 5 1/4 as citing underlying strength and a moderate risk of inflation. Traders pushed small-caps higher to lead the market. A bit of concern is that the IBD New America and IBD 85-85 index did not participate in today’s action. We simply can not overlook the strength within the S&P 600 and Russell 2k.
Dow continues to keep hitting all time highs. The AAII BULL and BEAR index will be published tomorrow that should shed some light on how market participants are acting in this market.
