Bids for Alcoa help boost Big Cap Stocks

Market is giving people massive headaches.
At the end of the day, we had higher volume on the NYSE and lower on the Nasdaq. This was bullish action today, can not deny that. Today, Bernanke will be the focal point for the markets.

I am wondering how traders are feeling with this type of action in the market.
This is exactly why we do not trade on emotion. Look at the roller coaster ride we’d be on if we did. Opinions do not matter only price and volume action of stocks.

Market slides as volume eases

Where were all the sellers with this down day? Volume skidded across the board, sellers weren’t to be found. Nasdaq is finding support at its 50dma, S&P 500 sliding on below average volume, and the Dow Jones Industrial average crept lower on extremely low volume.

Distribution Day has Bears chearing and Bulls whimpering!

Selling hit Wall St. hard Friday. Nasdaq and S&P 500 dropped 1.2% and .7% respectively. Friday marked the 3rd distribution day for the Nasdaq and S&P 500 in 4 weeks. Culprits were Fed Presidents as well as oil prices. Wall Street at this stage is not looking for rate hikes.
