9:00am EST Stocks drift back and forth throughout the day, lackluster trading session for stocks.
More economic news showing an economy that may be in a recession. Construction spending dropped and ISM Manufacturing showed contraction. The economic climate is not a rosy picture. Stocks are showing significant weakness, not including anything related to commodities. If you own anything related to Agriculture, Grains, and any Metal stocks you are seeing gains. Long term trend continues to point downward and fully expect to see this trend to dominate the shorter trends.
Bernanke is in Orlando today speaking about the mortgage issues the United States is witnessing. What will trump his testimony will be talk about the cutting of earnings expectations for financials and other stocks. Is this the time to buy then? I have some tulips for sale! We need to have a lot more negativity before we can look to begin operating on a large scale on the long side.
